Most of the cells in your organs can break down and store fat and glycogen to adapt to the glucose concentration in your bloodstream, aided by pancreatic hormones insulin and glucagon. However, your brain cannot utilize fat and depends on glucose broken down in the liver to feed it through the bloodstream. Without glucose to feed it, mental capacity is limited.

Interesting things I’ve learned from lecture:
Animals like dogs cannot sweat like humans, and therefore pant to reduce their body temperature. However, panting is not efficient as sweating; you can literally run a dog into a heatstroke.
Sweating is useless if the beads of sweat drip off your body. This is cause no evaporation is taking place if the sweat falls off. So don’t fall for...

I had my first allergic reaction last night over an unknown allergen. Freaked me out. Stupid histamines. It was weird.
